Today is the third day of the 2023 Paris Air Show. This is the first time the show has been held since 2019 as it was cancelled in 2021 due to COVID-19.
Today was another busy day at the Paris Air Show.
Embraer and Lanzhou Aviation Industry Development Group signed a Letter of Agreement for 20 Embraer E190 and E195 passenger-to-freighter conversions.
Avolon (an Irish leasing company) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Airbus for 20 A330neos for the A330-900 variant. Deliveries are planned to begin in 2026 and be completed by 2028. Avolon also ordered 40 737 MAX 8 aircraft at the show yesterday.
Luxair has ordered 4 Boeing 737 MAX 7 aircraft and will become the launch customer for the type in Europe.
French start-up AURA AERO and Afrijet (based in Gabon) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding for multiple electric aircraft.
Indian carrier Akasa Air has placed an order for 4 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft. This brings their total to 76 aircraft.
TAAG signed another leasing agreement on the third day of the Paris Air Show. The agreement with NAC is for 2 more A220s with deliveries set to begin in 2025.
