Dubai based carrier, Emirates, is a unique airline as it currently operates only 2 aircraft types: the Boeing 777 and the Airbus A380. However, the Middle East carrier is expecting two new aircraft types soon: the Boeing 777X and the A350. I take a look at the current Emirates fleet as well as what to expect in the future.

Boeing 777
Emirates operates the world's largest fleet of Boeing 777 aircraft. They fly the type to nearly 100 cities. Emirates operates two variants of the B777: the B777-300ER and the B777-200LR.
B777-300ER
Emirates operates the B777-300ER in two layouts. A three-class configuration and a two-class configuration. The aircraft has a wingspan of 64.8m and a length of 73.9m. The B777-300ER has a range of 14,599 km.
B777-200LR
Emirates operates the B777-200LR as a two-class configuration with 302 seats. The aircraft has a wingspan of 64.8m and a length of 63.7m. The aircraft has a longer range than the B777-300ER with 17,446 km.
A380
The A380 is the world's largest passenger aircraft with a maximum seating capacity of 853. Emirates is the world's largest A380 operator and has multiple configurations ranging from 2 to 4 classes with 484 to 615 seats depending on the configuration with different configurations for long-range or ultra-long range.
The A380 has a wingspan of 79.8m and a length of 72.7m. It has a maximum range of 15,000 km. Emirates A380's often have a shower for first class and an onboard lounge to enhance the passenger experience.

A350
The A350 is set to join the Emirates fleet in late 2024 and will have 3 cabin areas. This includes 32 business class seats, 21 premium economy seats and 259 economy seats. Emirates has scheduled the A350 to fly between Dubai and their short to medium-haul cities. Cities announced so far for the A350 include: Bahrain, Kuwait, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Edinburgh, Muscat, Lyon, Bologna and Columbo.
Emirates is known for its high-quality product and service and it will be interesting to see the A350 in Emirates livery.
